Quiet
not
the
raging mouths that scream
differently
tuned
songs,
which burst
with
conviction, with outrage,
with
words you’ve
never held
between
skull and teeth.
Living
words (and people) will
not
be muzzled
without
cruelty (or war)--
unsaid
words
fight
to become.
Let
them
(we
must)
be
something,
do
something,
say
something...
or
lose
everything.

Yes, essential, I think.
ReplyDeleteI think that's exactly where the world is - either we be or do or say something now or lose everything.... :(
ReplyDeleteYes, quiet not! Unsaid words fight to become and when they become they too often are muzzled even by our own passivity.
ReplyDeleteReminded me of the old slogan "Silence = Death."
ReplyDeleteLike that Living words will not be muzzled - Interesting poem
ReplyDeleteYes! End the censorship!

Magaly, you may be the 'perfect person' to interpret the challenge ... you have endured so much, so much. Yet, you muster on ... screams and all ... a healthy way to vent I think. (I have gone that route countless times.)
ReplyDeleteTake good care, enjoy your weekend. You and Piano Man.
I wish more people would speak out about injustices that occur, I think it would help but I admit, I'm not the most vocal either
ReplyDeleteWhere did i read it before, that it's better to try something than not to try it? Perhaps it's the same as speaking your opinion, but self censorship can hold it back. That's when "Unsaid Words Will Die Screaming". You said it so perfectly, Magaly.
ReplyDelete"Living words ...will not be muzzled without cruelty". Why can't people live well, peacefully?
ReplyDeleteYes it is important to speak out against in justice...Rall
ReplyDeleteSuch good words here and thanks for including the painting.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan

ReplyDeleteYour words always touch me so deeply. I would like your permission to link this with next weeks FFO. Let me know. Have a good day today.
ReplyDeleteI wish all could live out loud fully in their beautiful blend of authenticity.
