Coffee and Gardening and Such…

not-quite Journaling, 43

your mind
falls rather fast
towards the gutter, I

9/20/2022: Yep, I have the sense of humor of a hormonal teenager; it’s either that, or the top of that tomato looks like a hugely male star to you too.

9/28/2022: I love art birthed by good friends. So, when my sore flesh and bones got home from physical therapy to find “Gold Earrings(the painting behind the poem), I was all delighted smirks. Knowing friends are keeping us in their thoughts is always warming.

sun kiss me
wild all summer long,
then fall rains

10/1/2022: October has arrived with rain and fog. Perfect for the season. I’m predicting hot coffee and citrus tea, dark writings and readings, bringing my wee garden inside, and so much more…

10/6/2022: I was going to say something about drinking coffee from the skull of my enemies, but that sounds disturbingly unsanitary. Seriously, most of the people I truly dislike have shit for brains--eeewww! So, I shall just sip my hot, dark and sweet brew quietly, while listening to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and returning my coffee cup’s creepy grin.

Be a witch: think, and do right.

10/8/2022: Yep, that’s pretty much it; real witches’ strongest magic consists in thinking, learning, doing what’s right, and taking responsibility for their own actions (when things don’t go ‘right’).

  1. Love your little skelly mug - you will just have to pretend it is the brain of your enemy!

  2. Oooooooooo, love the skelly mug! Coffee must just taste that much better in it!

  3. LOL, I have the same sense of humor. And that coffee cup is sheer perfection.

  4. Delightful illustrations of your hobbies / peace-bringers. Makes me feel calm and replete just to share in them here for a minute.

  5. gardening, stitched poetry, blackout poetry, haiku/senryu, reading and drinking coffee from enemies' skulls. That's quite a lot of hobbies. Oh, scratch the last one. :)

  6. I love your wicked sense of humour! And how you create "stitch poems" ... I have always considered myself a 'good witch' ~~ you too!

  7. Now I know where my sense of basic naughtiness has got to. Enjoy!

  8. Loved the art... and the artful showing of one's heart!!! Skull cupholder should be on my diwali shopping list :)

  9. Be a witch... wild all summer... an entertaining read.

  10. Your little skelly mug is perfect for this month :)

    All the best Jan

  11. Always beauty here. I do love the skull glass holder and hey drinking from the skull of your enemies..... yeah to dirty for me. LOL

  12. Lovely bits of October dazing. I finally have tomatoes coming in since it's cooled down a bit. Would love some fog and rain.
