Hope Can Still Bloom Wild

I watched a scattering of clouds brewing brightly over a winter-darkened land. And I thought, Nature is so good at painting balanced music. I also thought of you and me—the gentle and the wild—dancing life’s song together.

I watched two souls flying as one in a dark sky, unafraid of turbulence or turmoil, knowing that when love stays close the light is never far.

 in winter,
hope can still bloom wild
bits of spring

  2. Your words show that you understand the sweetness of love, of closeness, and the beauty our Mother Nature can produce. Your reflections flow and mingle, and peace enters the soul of the reader.

  4. The title stands out for me, Magaly; lots of people are rewilding their meadows and gardens in the UK, which gives me hope. I agree with you about Nature, she is brilliant at painting balanced music. My favourite part of your delightful haibun is:
‘I watched two souls flying as one in a dark sky, unafraid of turbulence or turmoil, knowing that when love stays close the light is never far.’
If only everyone lived their lives like that…

    1. I think that if more people saw what you and I see in nature, things will be so much better for all. We can help, can’t we?

  5. We are not much different to the Earth needing our sleep so we wake up fresh for the morning just as the seasons come and go to ensure everything has its time to flourish and a time to sleep. Spring reminds us of that.

  8. What is the opposite of a vicious cycle? It would have to be one involving the dance between hope and love, each spinning the other higher and higher.

  14. Lovely--I found myself lately listing all the animals I see out the window, naming all the ways the landscape is still alive despite being scraped bare in so many places. This translates each into hope. :)
