  1. Wow, here I am welcoming the slow but certain ending of winter – and you have been through both surgery and a hurricane! Glad Miss Passionflower lives to bloom again and Miss Amaryllis is gearing up for her turn.

    1. I've been sending wanton kisses towards autumn and winter. I can't believe how hot it has been. All right, I can believe it but I don't have to like it, lol! Do tell your winter to whisper cooling whispers our way.

    2. P.S. Your lippy post (I will always remember it like that) is still making me smile.

  3. Beautiful! I have realized that Nature at the end of the day teaches us so much, if we pay attention!πŸ’ Love the amaryllis. I hope it blooms soon. And that too, magnificently!!😍

    1. I agree. It's all in the paying attention bit.

  4. I love this. The second picture really struck home. I have a succulent in my kitchen window that has been knocked down or blown off more times than I can count. And it is still going strong.

    1. You know, your succulent must be related to my passiflora. That plant has survived so much. She's quite the fighter.

  6. Oh, you're on Instagram now, I see! Or am I just horribly behind the times?

    1. I've been there for a while. According to a dear friend, "Instagram is guilty for you not blogging like you use to. And it's not fair." She refuses to get an Instagram account, hence the links... I hope she finds it useful.

  7. Nature isn't a shy one, that's for sure. I think if we say we love nature we need to recognize she is a mistress of many moods. And while some are more, ahem, intense than others, we can't say we really love a thing while denying parts of them exist.

  8. I just want to say I really like the way you have provided links to the stories that go with the pictures. Since I have already seen/read these I wont comment again on the subject(s) but...I did want to comment about the layout. Nice job.....
I wonder if you have met the new blogger format yet. I got hit with it this week. It isnt as much creative fun as before.

    1. A blogger friend who isn't on Instagram suggested I shared the links. She wanted to participate, but has completely boycotted Facebook. Providing the links seems to be a good idea.

The new Blogger platform isn't the best thing they've done. It's more than user unfriendly. I hate that if one doesn't pay close attention to the damn thing, all can go wrong. I, for instance, hate that they removed the "Schedule" button, and that one can barely tell when a post has been updated. I've no idea what they were thinking. Sigh.

  13. I kept thinking 'kicks and kisses and kick asses.' And we just felt a brief earthquake here in the mountains of VA. I especially like the last photo, standing poised and erect.

    1. Ha! They seem to go well together. I had no idea you guys had an earthquake. Hope no one got hurt. And I, too, liked the angle of the photo. When I took it, I kept thinking, You're looking at me, aren't you?

  15. To have fought and to have survived is the beauty. Life will kick us down but as long as we rise and we fight a good fight.
