She’s a bud
in the
winter months,
a
promise
of
spring that unchills
mood
and flesh and us.
Our
world (and body, in the case of some of us) is in chaos: war, COVID,
humans being inhuman… But the universe keeps sprouting moments of joy. Look for
them (and share).
- for Poets and
Storytellers United--Friday Writings #18: Moments of Joy.
Nature always gives us moments of joy, so abundantly!
ReplyDeleteShe rocks!
DeleteTrue, we do need little promises that can unchill the mood...
ReplyDeleteThese days more than ever!
Delete'unchills'
ReplyDeleteVery cool photo, too! Thanks.
Well, thank you. ;-)
DeleteI feel some hope here and with the spring upon us. I love the word unchill here.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you feel the hope!
DeleteThis makes my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteLet it rip!
DeleteLove the emerging beauty! My orchid has buds!!!! Sadness here as a friend passed from Covid earlier in the week. No underlying illness, normal body weight. War in Europe and war against a pandemic keep us on edge.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your friend. May his spirit be in peace.
DeleteYou know, that's one of the things I fear most about COVID... unpredictability. We never know how it's going to affect us. Sigh.
DeleteA lovely sprout of joy Magaly

Thank you, Gillena.
DeleteHello Amaryllis!
ReplyDeleteShe just waved a petal your way.
DeleteWe all wait impatiently for spring here, for rolling green hills and earth turned to receive the seeds to grow again.
ReplyDeleteMay the bulb bring an explosion of color.
We are still waiting... it's so chilly for April!
DeleteI agree Maga, it's never been more important than now to keeping looking for those moments of joy (however short-lived some might be) and share them with one another. <3
ReplyDeleteHowever short-lived...
DeleteThere's always something hopeful about the budding of new green. It's one of my favorite late winter - early spring things to do, go out and hunt for growth.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorites too!
DeleteBeautiful plant with beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my dear lady.
DeleteA promise of Spring. You always seem to find a sign of hope, my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking...
DeleteThat does look a lovely plant.
ReplyDeleteNature can bring such joyous moments.
Have a good weekend.
All the best Jan
She's quite the looker indeed.
DeleteI will remember your words and look for this today.
ReplyDeleteYes!
