Oh WOW, I love this! "I eat dreams" - how delicious. And shining in your dark. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry.
DeleteI love the way you’ve transformed Lewis into Magaly! Wild and uncanny is something to aspire to, and the thought of eating ‘real dreams plucked from surreal trees’ and shining a roaring light.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim.
DeleteOh I agree.. sane tea parties sound incredibly dull...a lion and a burning light, I'd go with that!!!
ReplyDeleteDull, and probably fattening. Giggles.
DeleteHow can I not love this. Tea with Hatter and Alice is sublime
ReplyDeleteI suspected you would. :-)
DeleteI enjoyed the word play in this. I would rather eat those real dreams from surreal trees than attend one of those overgrown sane tea parties. Keep that wild part of you, and continue to roar your truths!
ReplyDeleteI shall!
DeleteYou are made of wild, uncanny things that shine in the dark...i like that. very empowering!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYou are so strong in your writing Magaly I don't know whether to clap or cower in a corner out of the way! What a great example you are in so many ways.
ReplyDeleteClap, for sure. Dance, too.
DeleteYou sound like Maya Angelou here. I don't mean that it's derivative at all--what I mean is, it has that spirit, that strength born of pain. Rawr.
ReplyDeleteRawr!
DeleteThis is wonderful... it reminds me how much darkness is needed to see the light.
ReplyDeleteThank you. And indeed.
DeleteA roaring light, indeed! I love this poem.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you do!
DeleteI love this roaring surreal dreamscape. It reminds me of how all glorious and bright things are birthed in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThe mind is a glorious setting.
DeleteAren't those occasional bites of darkness simply delicious?
ReplyDeleteTotally!
DeleteThis gave me shivers! What a poem!
ReplyDeleteShivers are good.
Delete"a roaring light" -- yowza!
ReplyDeleteI just said "Yowza!" aloud.
DeleteI have always loved your dark. Keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteThat I shall.
DeleteYou are also made of goodness and yumminess of poetry and prose 💖💖 this is exquisitely drawn, Magaly! 😘😘😘
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you.
DeleteEating dreams...an interesting thought. I like the spirit in this, the bravery, the whimsy as well.
ReplyDeleteFeeding dreams into our reality is quite nutritious, too.
DeleteThis is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Reba.
DeleteI'm overjoyed with your musings! Awash with magical thoughts! Music floods my mind.....my heart. I'm dancing with lights and joy!
ReplyDeleteDance on!
DeleteI love EVERYTHING about this little piece … right down to its inspired construction. I seem to have so much trouble taking my poem construction outside of the square-or-centered box. I'm never satisfied that I achieved any kind of a point with what I've come up with (and end up changing it back to same-old same-old). But this really works. Needless to say, the content is awesome.
ReplyDeleteSome days, is just so much fun (and necessary) to play out of the box.
DeleteOf course you know how much I love this. There are no sane tea parties, only sane tea.
ReplyDeleteAh.
Deletedreams plucked from surreal trees must be real yummy. so is this poem. :)
ReplyDeleteLike coffee dancing with chocolate.
DeleteYou do have a roaring light my dear friend. This is deliciously wonderful Magaly!!! I LOVE it!! So glad you joined us this week!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carrie.
DeleteYOU are the roaring light! (In case you hadn't noticed, lol.)
ReplyDelete*hehehe(
Deletea zinger of an ending!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteTruly, truly beautiful and wonderful! I love it!!!
ReplyDelete(Sweetheart, I saw your post on Instagram, where you mentioned my name, in that amazing poem you wrote! I'm sorry, I can't heart, or comment still!!! Keep shining beautiful!!!)
Big Hugs!
