Moments and Storms

At this moment,
the world is all
storms,

storms,

storms

with no eye.

But

b r e a t h e, my heart
for moments and storms,
storms, too, shall pass.

  1. Most any other day, I'd tell you how much I love living in Pennsylvania. Today, not so much. It'd be something if we could pinpoint where the eye was, wasn't it? A little tangible reminder of being halfway through. But no matter where we are in the process, it is a surety that it will end... and then we will deal with what comes next.

    1. We are so very good at dealing with things, aren't we? I guess it's all the practice we've had.

Also, I suspect you are feeling a lot happier about dwelling in PA. 😁

  2. Oh, I love that! Storms with no eye... Yes, storms pass. Hopefully with not much damage.

  3. I've never experienced a storm with an eye. I lived in Florida for five hurricane-free years! In my world, when the storm is over, it's over. The kind that come back with renewed fury scare me silly.

    1. I've been through hurricanes, cyclones, even a typhoon, and I never saw the eye of the storm. I wonder if anyone who sees it has anything good to say about it.

  4. So true Love the last stanza "breathe, my heart for moments and storms,
    storms too shall pass."

  5. Storms do pass; but there is also the reality of damage done. This is where the test lies, in picking up the broken pieces and moving not (only on) but forward

    1. Indeed, storms are excellent teachers, if we pay attention and value the lesson.

  14. Your eye-less storms caused a sharp intake of breath, Magaly – and then I exhaled at the line ‘b r e a t h e, my heart’ and became oh so c a l m.

  17. Sadly you are right. At present this world is full of storms (that scare me somewhat).
Yes, lets breathe and await their passing.

    1. At least, we aren't scared alone. Let's hope the fright starts to dwindle soon...

It's so good to read you, Anna.
